FAQs

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a safe, confidential, private space where you can talk about your problems as freely as possible and explore the root causes behind the difficulties you are facing. Whether you are suffering with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or a trauma of any kind, my psychotherapy services give you a place to understand the issue better and develop a bespoke way to move past it that makes sense to you.

How do I know if I need Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is suitable for people with a range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, eating disorders, self-harm, or any other recurring issue that you feel like you need help with. I can also offer a more counselling-based approach, giving you a space to let off steam once a week, along

with providing specialist help for more complex mental health issues.

How long does each session last?

All sessions last 50 minutes.

How often should I have sessions?

Generally, I see clients on a weekly basis. However, if we choose to go down the route of psychoanalytic therapy, I can offer sessions three times a week. You may, over time, feel like a session every fortnight is all you need. It’s up to you.

How do I pay for Counselling sessions?

I accept payment by cash, cheque, or bank transfer. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice must be given for cancellations, otherwise refunds will not be eligible.
